Protest camp and blockade, James Price Point, days 12 and 13

Day 12   Day 12 dawns and the blockade is holding strong but as always numbers out on country are needed. What a great achievement so far, keep it up! A smaller than normal convoy has been turned back today and a few tired stalwarts are in need of a rest. Looking forward to seeing some fresh faces over the weekend to relieve them. The protesters are and amazing and diverse group. A mix of old and young, Indigenous and non-Indigenous, business owners and workers. Many people are making it out there before or after work or juggling family commitments. Even if you can only get away for an hour or two your support out at the blockade is appreciated. Stay tuned for another update tomorrow and check and check out and ‘like’ our Facebook page for up to the minute updates. Day 13: Quiet so far at the blockade. No attempts to send out clearing workers yet, last Sunday was also quiet, vigilance and moral support from old and new faces still needed. Monday morning early could be important.
